Shipping

From the time of ordering online to the finished product we say allow three weeks. We are a home based studio and all of our products are hand crafted and made to order.

Sometimes we could be running ahead of schedule or may have stock on hand, in which case you will get your order earlier! The week of shipping you will receive an email updating you with your order status and estimated date of shipping.

We do! Freight is determined by the size of the mirror you’re purchasing and the destination it’s heading to. This will be calculated at checkout. We collaboratively work with Pack and Send NZ to provide you with an optimum freight service. We chose this company as they are incredibly thorough and professional. Your mirror will be wrapped with extensive and secure packaging to ensure it arrives to your doorstep safely. The shipping cost also includes a delivery warranty. If your order arrives damaged, please get in touch with us as soon as you can and we will rectify the issue. Once the mirror has been shipped we will send you a tracking slip and you will be able to follow your mirror’s journey across the country! Once dispatched allow 2-3 working days for delivery.

As mentioned above we work closely with Pack and Send based on their attention to detail with packaging and their care with shipping. Your mirror will be wrapped thoroughly in layers of high quality bubble wrap and then placed into a custom made to measure box which is of a high density cardboard. If you have ordered a shelf the same process applies, although we package it ourselves and wrap the shelf in extensive bubble wrap and then a high GSM kraft paper. Pack and Send use Post Haste as their courier service, and you will be able to track your parcels journey from the minute it leaves the Tauranga depot until it arrives to your front door.

Yes! Of course. Pick up is from our home based studio down town Mount Maunganui. You will be notified when your order is ready for collection. We also offer complimentary delivery within the Tauranga and Mount Maunganui areas.

The wood that the frames are made from is medium density fibreboard. The thickness of the wood varies between 9mm and 12mm depending on the size of the frame. We outsource our mirror glass to a highly reputable local business.

Yes! Absolutely. If you have a specific space that you’re wanting a Getwavey number in but none of our sizes work for you, provide us with the dimensions and we can whip up a few concepts and work with you in creating the perfect shape and size!

This is at an added cost and we can communicate via email to discuss further details.

Yes you definitely can! Our bigger mirrors (O.G, In betweener, Big boy, Long boy + Tall boy) are all designed to be leaners but if you are interested in hanging them we have a hanging bracket available to purchase. They are made up of two parts, one is mounted to the back of the mirror by our glass specialists and the other part is to be fixed to the desired place on the wall by you. Our smaller mirrors (Smalls, Middy, Biggie + Little Guy) come with D-rings attached and heavy duty frame nylon, ready to be hung. For bathroom areas we would recommend gluing the frame to the wall.

Yes! We use a top quality paint made in Germany which has an impressive 277 colour library to chose from. We have chosen 12 of our favourites but if you need to colour match or see what other shades are on offer, select the custom colour option and we will be in touch to send you swatches!

If you live near the beach or in a dust prone place like us, I always wipe the surface first with a dry microfibre cloth or a paper towel first to get rid of the dirt/dust.

Then with a warm damp cloth or water based baby wipe, clean over the painted surface. If you have a stubborn stain I would either use a glass cleaner or spray and wipe. We wouldn’t recommend Jif or Bar keepers friend as they will likely tarnish or remove the paint. And to finish wipe over with a dry cloth or paper towel again. Obviously with the mirror itself, use a glass cleaner and paper towels, again removing the dust off first with a microfiber cloth. Happy cleaning!

Returns

As stated above, all our products are made in house and hand produced so occasionally minor imperfections may appear. For example, the wood that we source may sometimes have surface blemishes which we do our best to remove.

We are perfectionists and craft all our products to a high standard and run quality checks throughout each stage of production. We have never had any returns or unhappy customers, but want to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. If you aren’t pleased with your product, please do reach out to us and we can work through an outcome.
